At the end of 2006, the basement CAVE has a construction path fairly firmly defined.
The basic infrastructure is in place (screen, projectors, tracking,
audio), awaiting only a machine room. Several moves have to occur
within other Beckman centralized facilities before we get a machine room
for the CAVE, so late in the first quarter of 2006 is a probable time
for the dismantling of the third floor CAVE, with what looks like no
more than a couple of day interlude until the basement CAVE has full
functionality.
