ALICE - The VR cube is being constructed by TAN Projectionstechnologies from Germany using 6 TANORAMA Simulation Displays.

3D Images will be projected onto three surface cube screens, one removable entrance screen, a ceiling screen and a floor screen, allowing the subject to be fully immersed in a virtual reality setting.

The 3D images will be projected onto the screens from 6 cube graphic projectors made by TAN.  Their resolution is 2500 x 2000 pixels.  The projections will then be reflected by 6 120" x 120" mylar mirrors, made by  Hudson Photographic Industries, Inc.

The TAN company is well-known throughout Europe and the world, particularly because of its ability to construct the room completely of non-metallic materials so that it will not interfere with other signals in the room.  The cube will be situated in the center of the room, measuring

9 m x 9 m x 10 m.
