The Effect of Prosthetic Spinal Rod Placement on Shoulder and Torso Kinematics During Reaching Tasks in Individuals with Thoracic Spinal Cord Injury



The goal of this project is to describe the basic kinematics of the shoulder and upper extremity  and the torso (maximum reach, velocity, trunk deviation angles, hand path trajectories) as well as reaction time during reaching tasks in individuals with thoracic spinal cord injury.  The kinematic values of individuals with spinal rods will be compared with individuals without spinal rods who also have thoracic spinal cord injury.
